Retouching is modern fashion magic. Years of high end work and demanding clients have sharpened my skills in ways only a side by side comparison can do justice. Play around!
This was a quick shot backstage at one of my work assignments in Morocco. What you see in this image is a blend of my typical techniques. Hand painted contrast and high end skin retouching.
Brielle was easy! She has great skin, so with this retouch I kept the treatment simple. I really focused on the mid tones in this photo to make her gorgeous eyes & hair pop. This shot was all about enhancing her naturally beachy look.
This is a runway photo I also captured in Morocco. I loved it so much, I wanted to re-create it into something that looked like a studio editorial. And thats what’s so fun about Photoshop, you can do anything!
I captured this image right at The Knowlton in Bridgeport. I decided in post-production that she would pop more if the background was gray instead of beige since it matched her skin tone too closely. As a profile shot, I also decided to change the shape of the head-wrap to be cohesive for the composition.
This image highlights my color grading expertise. Runways with atmospheric colored lights change the colors in the garment. Staying true to my eye for light & color I was able to adjust it to match how the eye sees it while still leaving the overall purple for atmosphere.
